The role of messaging apps in local government is twofold, first they are an effective way to communicate between the public and the local government, and second they can be used as an effective tool in carrying out a proposal. In regards to the first point, if the public only had a direct line to a government official then they would be able to talk to that official all the time. This would result in those government officials having more time for the voters, you see, voice calls and in-person meetings take up a lot of time.
With messaging apps, the public can send their local government messages about any issue they are facing. This allows for public discussion to take place about local issues, which would not be possible if the public could only contact their local government through scheduled meetings. In the case of the proposals listed above, it's simple enough for the public to understand. Using a messaging app, voters can send messages to their local government about the issues they care about. This is especially effective for issues that aren't necessarily complicated, but rather across-the-board concerns that affect a lot of voters. @Gotvpro we believe that there should be a change in how the government serves the people. We believe that the government should be engaging in conversation with voters that will ultimately lead to better public service.
